Blacksburg -- Joyce Erlene Wilkie Pennington, 72, of 257 Little Hope Rd, passed away Wednesday, February 26th, 2020, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Born in Gaffney, she was the widow of Jerry Pennington and the daughter of the late Russell and Doris Wilkie. Mrs. Pennington worked as a homemaker and was a member of Christian Fellowship Church.

Surviving Mrs. Pennington are three sons, Jerry Pennington Jr. and wife, Tonya, Billy Pennington, and James Pennington; a daughter, Angela Kirby; six grandchildren, Ricky Mullinax, Jeremy Pennington, Reggie McDaniel, Jessica Kirby, James Pennington Jr., and Madison Pennington; and on great-granddaughter, Khloe Pennington.

In addition to her husband, Joyce was preceded in death by two daughters, Patty Pennington and Michelle Pennington.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Pennington will be held on Saturday, March 8th, 2020 at 2;00 pm in the Gordon Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Willie Lanier and Rev. Gregg Martin officiating.
