On the Day appointed only by her Lord and Savior, Judy Ann Philbeck Harmon, 57, of 130 Zeb Cline Road of Shelby  will leave the cares of this old world behind Friday July 6, 2012 at Kings Mountain Hospice House.

Born January 25, 1955 in Cleveland County she was a daughter of the late Rushie and Betty Philbeck.  Judy is Co-Owner and operator of C & J Super Discount Groceries in Cherryville. She loved meeting and helping people through her business.  Before the illness limited her strength and ability she enjoyed auctions and volunteering her time and talents for such things as PTO President at North Shelby School where her grandson is a student, and helping others in need whenever possible.  Judy is a blessing and inspiration to all who knew her and her memory will linger forever in their hearts.

There will be no more tears, fears and pain as she meets Jesus face to face and strolls the streets of gold with those gone on before her include her parents; sister, Jeanette Philbeck; grandson, R.C. Allen and many other dear friends and relatives.  

She would presently leave to cherish fond memories, her husband, Charles Harmon; daughters, Judith Harmon of the home; Betty Evans of Troy; Dorothy Edwards and husband, Wayne of Waco; stepsons, Frank Harmon and wife, Carrieann of California and Andrew Harmon and wife, Crystal of Cherryville; a daughter not by blood by love, Nancy B. Reavis; beloved and adored

grandchildren, Johnathan Huffstetler, Taylor Edwards, Adien and Zack Harmon; sister, Darlene Delozier of Fallston; brothers, Roy Philbeck of Spruce Pine; Donald Philbeck of Shelby and her church family at Calvary's Cross Baptist Church in Polkville where she is a member.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00PM Sunday at Stamey Funeral Home in Fallston.

The funeral service will be at 3:00PM Sunday at Stamey Funeral Home Chapel in Fallston.
