Cherryville – Mrs. Judy Dellinger Owens, 66, of 402 Kent St. passed away on December 12, 2012 at her residence.

Judy was born in Lincoln County, NC a daughter of the late Paul and Pauline Huss Dellinger.  She was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church in Cherryville.  Judy was a very loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother and was a friend with everyone she came in contact with.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Mary “Jimmie” Mace.

Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Tommy Owens, of the home; two sons, Marcus Owens and wife Heather of Concord and Christopher Owens, of the home; a brother, Jerry Dellinger of Burlington; three grandchildren, Mikaya Owens of Tacoma, Washington, Haley Arabasz and Piper Owens both of Concord; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Friday, December 14, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Stamey~Cherryville Funeral Home and at other times the family will be at the home.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 11:00AM at Shady Grove Baptist Church with the Revs. Tim Robbins and Keith Hollar.  The body will be place in the church thirty minutes prior to the service.

Burial will be at Cherryville City Memorial Cemetery.
