Judy Lee Dedmond Mason, age 73, of Mooresboro, NC, passed away on Monday, October 10, 2016 at the Wendover Hospice House in Shelby.
Born on Saturday, October 2, 1943 in Rutherford County, she was a daughter to the late Samuel Dedmond and Frances Sims Dedmond. She was a graduate of Chase High School, class of 1961 and worked for over twenty years as an office clerk at the Rutherford County Health Department. She was a member of Cliffside Baptist Church and enjoyed sewing and was an avid reader.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Dan Lee Mason and one brother, Robert Eugene Dedmond.
Survivors include two daughters, Donna Jean Mason of Mooresboro and Jody M. Baker and husband, Brad also of Mooresboro; four grandchildren, Derrick Mason, Jacob R.S. Baker, Brad Alexander Baker and wife, Kathleen and Robert Ledbetter and wife, Cassie. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren, Austin Deal, Joseph Deal, Brynley Elizabeth Roper Baker, Alexandra Jayne Ledbetter, James Andrew Ledbetter and David Samuel Ledbetter.
A gathering of remembrance will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at Harrelson Funeral Home. A private inurnment will be conducted at Cliffside Cemetery.
