Judy Logan Herndon, age 76,  a resident of Kings Mountain passed away at her home on Sunday, January 26, 2014. She was born in Cleveland County, NC, daughter of the late W. Lawrence Logan and Helen Cornwell Logan and was also preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Bob Herndon. She was a member of Kings Mountain Baptist Church, a Sunday School teacher, and a former member of the Town and Country Garden Club. She was a loving mother and grandmother who loved to spend time with her grandkids. She retired after 40 years from Kings Mountain District Schools and Cleveland County Schools as a teacher’s assistant.

Sisters: Lou Ann Bell and husband Bill, Lexington, NC, Linda Bowden and husband Nick, Kenansville, NC, Sally Carpenter and husband Pat, Anderson, SC,  Mary Helen Tate, Kings Mountain, NC

Grandchildren: Tyler Leach, Wilmington, NC, Ryan Leach, Raleigh, NC, Hannah McGill, Los Angeles, CA, Logan McGill, Boone, NC,  Brooke Hayes and fiancé Trey Deason, Kings Mountain, NC

MEMORIAL SERVICES: Kings Mountain Baptist Church, Tuesday, January 28, 2014, at 4:00 P.M.  Rev. Tim Whitesides and Rev. Hobby Outten, officiating.

VISITATION: Family to receive friends immediately after the service in the church Fellowship hall.

INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, NC
