Julia Mae "Granny" Watkins Moore
 Julia Mae "Granny" Watkins Moore, 84, of 848 Darwin Road, passed away Tuesday, May 1st, 2012, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Born in Gaffney, Mrs. Moore was the widow of Forest "Acome" Moore, Jr. and the daughter of the late Shelton Amos and Amantha Mullinax Watkins. Mrs. Moore worked as a homemaker and was of the Pentecostal faith. She was a loving mother and wife, who was devoted to her children and grandchildren. Granny found good in everyone and, most of all, loved and served the Lord.

Mrs. Moore is survived by a son, Keith Watkins, of Gaffney; six daughters, Pattie Duncan, Joyce Gunnells, Theresa McKinney, Nima Campbell, all of Gaffney, Cindy Rogers, of the home, and Lisa Moore of Detroit, MI; two sisters, Lois Erwin of Pacolet and Linda Pennington of Gaffney; nineteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by a son, Michael V. Moore; a grandson, Jamie Gunnells, and two brothers, Henry and Leon Watkins.

A graveside memorial service for Mrs. Moore will be held Saturday, May 5, 2012, at 2:00PM at Oakland Cemetery with Pastor Mark Hughes officiating.

The family will be at the residence of her daughter, Pattie Duncan, 801 8th Street, Gaffney.
