Justin Wayne Whitney, age 87, graduated into Heaven, on Tuesday, January 27, 2016 at Carolinas Healthcare-Cleveland. Justin was born in Oklahoma and graduated from the University of Tulsa with a B. S. in Engineering. He served in the U. S. Navy during WWII and the Korean War. He was a member of Boiling Springs Baptist Church. He retired from McDonnell Douglas Boeing. In addition to his parents, Justin is preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Whitney and a brother, Jack Whitney.

Justin is survived by his wife of 65 years, Zelma Whitney; two daughters, Joanna Bayer and husband Ron of Indiana, and Julie Bryan and husband Doug of Boiling Springs; two daughters-in-law, Annetta Whitney of Oklahoma and Claudia Whitney of Iowa; seven grandchildren, Jason Whitney, Jeremy Whitney, Joshua Whitney, Jacob Whitney, Joel Whitney, Matthew Bryan, and Stephen Bryan; and six nieces and nephews, Chris, Jeanine, Jan, Jocelyn, Jerri, and Mark.

Memorial service will be held on Friday, January 29, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Boiling Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Keith McKinney and Dr. Carroll Page officiating.

The family wants to thank the staff at Peak Resources for all the care that Justin received during his stay.
