Kathy Gail Hite Blackwell, 63, of 136 Woody Road, passed away Monday, March 16th, 2015, at her residence.

Born in Shelby, NC, she was the wife of Thomas Blackwell and the daughter of the late Ben Hite and Cleo Rebecca Smith McIntyre. Mrs. Blackwell retired as a waitress and was a member of the Voice of Triumph.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Blackwell is survived by two daughters, Brenda Martin and husband, Roger, of Myrtle Beach, SC and Loretta Rumpf and husband, Donald, of Blacksburg, SC; one step-son, Bryan Blackwell, of Blacksburg; one sister, Becky Fisher, of Boiling Springs, NC; three grandsons, Jimmy Morgan and wife, Brandy, of Gaffney, Brandon Blackwell of Blacksburg, and Bryson Blackwell of Columbia; one granddaughter, Brittany Cook, of Boiling Springs, NC; four great-grandchildren, one nephew, Dewey Tomlin and wife, Shannon, of Lawndale, NC; and three cousins.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Blackwell is preceeded in death by one sister, Loretta Ann Tomlin, of Shelby, NC.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, March 19th, 2015, at 11:30 am at Voice of Triumph, 179 Corry Rd Blacksburg, South Carolina 29702, with Revs. Ernest and Ann Rodgers officiating.

The family will be at the residence.
