Kathy Lovelace Childers, 75, of Ross Hill Road, passed away Friday, May 22, 2026, at Atrium Health Main in Charlotte, NC.

Born in Kings Mountain, NC, Kathy was the widow of Tom Childers and the daughter of the late Robert and Roberta Champion Lovelace. She previously worked in the canteen at Timken, at Dollar General, and at Hamrick's.

Surviving Kathy are her sons, Brian Childers (Tammy) and Jason Childers (Jennifer); her grandchildren, Dylan Childers, Brooke Holcombe (Jeremy), Ray Shaw (Ashley), and Samuel Pierce (Milissa); 4 great-grandchildren, Karsyn Henson, Cassidy Holcombe, Harper Shaw, and Mason Shaw; and her beloved dog, Pawsley.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 from 1:00-2:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary, 400 West Cherokee Street, Blacksburg, SC. Memorial services will following at 2:00 pm in the Gordon Mortuary Chapel.
