Kathy Newton Parker, 56, of 271 Shady Grove Road, Lawndale, died Thursday,
March 10, 2011 at Carolina Care Center in Cherryville.
Mrs. Parker was born July 1, 1954 in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of
the late Hazel Newton and Mazell Ward Newton. She was a caregiver and was of
the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her stepmother,
Myrtle Lane Newton; two daughters, Aimee Parker and Michelle Parker; sister,
Faye Newton Parker and sister-in-law, Janice Newton.
Survivors include her two sons, Darin Parker and wife, Melissa of Marshall,
IL; Preston Parker and wife, Alizia of the US Air Force; brother, Arnold
Newton and wife, Anne of Shelby; two sisters, Jo McNeilly and husband, Jack
of Lawndale and Ruth Green and husband, Rev. James Green of Lawndale;
stepsister, Sandra Homesley; nine grandchildren and many beloved nieces and
nephews.
Visitation: 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Sunday, March 13, 2011 at Stamey Funeral
Home, Fallston.
Funeral Service: 3:30 PM, Sunday, March 13, 2011 at Stamey Funeral Home
Chapel, Fallston.
