Katie Lee Sherrin Miller, 82, of West Main Street, Mooresboro, went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Mecklenburg County, she was born on September 22, 1929, a daughter of the late Rollin and Jessie Medlin Sherrin. She was a homemaker and member of Sandy Run Baptist Church. She loved cooking and good vegetables.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Miller. She is survived by her daughters, Phyllis Howell of Lattimore, Mary Mortimer and husband John of Mooresboro, Sharon Hawkins and fiance Kenneth Hamrick of Mooresboro; one brother, Charlie Glaze of Charlotte; her grandchildren, Miranda Weathers, Deanna Holland, Brooke Stranford, Ashley Wall, Eric Stranford, and Valkyrie Boeke; her great grandchildren, Zachary Kloosterman, Billy Driskill, Dakota Holland, Jayden Mintz, Tony Weeks, Dylan Sperling, Matthew Sperling, Ava Sperling, Jakobe Patchee, Benjamin Wyatt, Xavier Stranford.
Funeral Services will be held at Sandy Run Baptist Church with the Rev. Andy Oliver and Rev. Andrew Rawls officiating. Burial will follow at the Sandy Run Baptist Church Cemetery.
