Kay Allison Hardin

Kay Allison Hardin, 76, of 208 Oak Grove Road, passed away Saturday, February 6th, 2021, at Cherokee Medical Center.

Born in Gaffney, she was the widow of Jerry Wayne Hardin Sr. and the daughter of the late Otis M. Allison and Eula Batcheler Allison. Mrs. Hardin retired as a registered nurse and was a member of Mt. Whitaker Baptist Church. She worked over 20 years in nursing. She loved to cook and she loved her cats.

Mrs. Hardin is survived by her sons, Jerry Hardin Jr., (Tonya), and Richard Thomas Hardin (Christina), both of Blacksburg; one brother, Ben Allison, one sister, Brenda Parker; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Wayne Hardin Sr., and her siblings, Wayne Allison, Otis Allison Jr., James Allison, Ola Catherine Martin, Paul Allison, C.A. Allison, Betty Jean Childers, Charles Maddie Allison, Doris Bright, Leroy Allison, and Eula Mae Rippy.

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 12th, 2021 from 4:00-5:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary, 400 West Cherokee Street, Blacksburg, SC. Memorial services will follow at 5:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Michael Owen officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Brookview Health Center, 510 Thompson Street, Gaffney, SC 29340.

The family will be at their respective residences.
