Kay Hamrick, 63, died Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at Kings Mountain Hospice House. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of Jean Terry Black and her husband Sam of Shelby, and the late John Willis Jones. The family would like to thank the caregivers or Dixon House, and the staff of Kings Mountain Hospice House for all their love and care they extended.

PRECEDED: In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her son, Eddie Dean Hester.

SURVIVED: In addition to her mother and step-father, she is survived by her son, Randy Scott Hester of Shelby; sisters, Linda Goodson of Catawba, and Joann Lankford and husband Johnny of Shelby; brothers, John "Bill" Jones of Lawndale, and Larry Jones and wife Susan of Shelby.

FUNERAL SERVICES: Thursday, 2p.m., at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel

VISITATION: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.

BURIAL: Cleveland Memorial Park
