Kenneth Alvin McCraw
Kenneth Alvin McCraw, 8l, 115 McDaniel Road, Blacksburg, SC, entered Heaven on Thursday, December 24, 2015, at Mary Black Hospital. He was born October 25, 1934, in Cleveland County, NC, to the late Chancey Paul and Eva Harris McCraw.
After his retirement from Wendell Fabrics, he spent his time enjoying being outside under the shade tree, watching his corn grow, and volunteering with the CKC Volunteer Fire Department. He was a faithful member of Hopewell Baptist Church and loved outings with the JOY Group. He was a member of Buffalo Lodge No. 202 for many years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Amy Winona McCraw, and his brother, Elwyn Fred McCraw. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Inez Martin McCraw; one daughter who cherished him, Sandra McCraw Woodlief and husband, Jim, of Gaffney; his grandchildren, who were his pride and joy, Brooks Woodlief and wife, Alex, and Tessie Bridges and husband, Zach, all of Gaffney; his sister, Flora McCraw Davis and husband, Charles, of Mooresboro, NC; his brother-in-laws, Donny Martin, Doyle Martin and wife, Pat, and James Edward Martin, of Kings Mountain, NC; and his sister-in-laws, Modenia Martin Bolton and husband, Don, of Union, SC, Ophelia B. McCraw of Mooresboro, NC, and Janette Martin of Gaffney, SC
The family will receive friends Sunday, December 27, 2015, from 2-3:00 PM, at Hopewell Baptist Church. Funeral Services will begin at 3:00 PM, at Hopewell Baptist Church, with Rev. Eddie Bolin officiating. Burial will follow in Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery. At other times, they will be at the home.
