| Kenneth Edwin Rhoney, 79, of Vale, passed away Thursday, May 31, 2018 atCarolina Rehab Center of Burke in Connelly Springs after a period of
 declining health.
 
 Mr. Rhoney was born August 2, 1938 in Cleveland County, a son of the late
 Wilmur and Lottie Rhoney. He was part owner of K&K Cabinet Shop and a former
 truck driver for Ideal transport for twenty years. He was also a member of
 Beulah Baptist Church and had served in the Army National Guard.
 
 In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert
 Rhoney.
 
 He is survived by his wife, Sue Evelyn Rhoney; two daughters, Donna Shull
 and husband, Greg of Vale and Kim Carswell of Vale; grandchildren, Kendall
 Shull, Holly Carswell, Ethan Carswell and wife Rebecca; his brothers and
 sisters, Carolyn Ford of Charlotte, Jerry Rhoney of Vale, Keniethea McMahon
 of Mint Hill and Cecil Rhoney of Vale and his beloved pet, Maggie Mud Pie.
 
 The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6:00PM to 7:30PM at
 Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home, Fallston.
 
 A graveside service will be held on Sunday at 3:00 PM in the Beulah Baptist
 Church Cemetery with the Rev. Tony Sayers officiating.
