Kenneth Lewis Dellinger

Kenneth Lewis Dellinger, age 79, resident of Kings Mountain, NC, died September 28, 2013, at Kings Mountain Hospice House.  He was born in Gaston Co. NC to the late William Kenneth Dellinger and Martha Louise Wilkinson Dellinger.  He was also preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Diana Long Dellinger.  Mr. Dellinger was the owner of Dellinger’s Jewel Shop, which was established by his family over 100 years ago.  He was a member of First Baptist Church, Kings Mtn, an active community leader, loving father and granddaddy who enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He was the first graduating Battalion Commander of Camden Military Academy.   He also served in the United States Army.   The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Kings Mountain Hospice House. 

SURVIVORS: Son: Lew Dellinger, Jr. and wife Linda, Kings Mtn, NC

 Daughter: Holly D. Robinson and husband Greg, Kings Mtn, NC

4 Grandchildren: Mason Dellinger, Lauren Dellinger, Morgan Robinson, and Miles Robinson. 

Girlfriend: Gail Jenkins, Cherryville, NC

MEMORIAL SERVICE: First Baptist Church,  Tuesday, October 1, 2013, at 

   5:00 P.M.   Dr. John Sloan officiating.

VISITATION: 3:00 – 5:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 1, 2013, prior to the service in the Stained Glass Room at First Baptist Church, other times at the home of the son, Lew Dellinger,  801 Hillside Drive, Kings Mountain, NC
