Kimberlee Michelle McCurry age 42, died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2014, at her home. Born in Cleveland County on Oct. 19, 1972, she was the daughter of Steve Roger Connor and Jacqueline Joycette York Fleming and husband Robert. Kim was of the Baptist Faith. She was a homemaker and was a devoted wife and mother. Kim enjoyed reading and had a great sense of humor. Kim was a natural girl who enjoyed the simple things in life. She also loved her pets.
She is preceded in death by her grandfathers, Lon Connor Jr. and Lawrence York. In addition to her parents, Kim is survived by her husband of 22 years, Michael “Shane” McCurry; a son, Dalton McCurry and fiancée Jeannie Dowell of
Cherryville; a sister, Lynn Connor LaPrade and husband Al of Asheboro; grandparents, Helen Connor and Doris Dockery both of Shelby; Aunts and uncles, Becky McGraw and husband Neil “Billy”, Ronnie York, Cheryl Edgar;
mother- in-law and father- in -law, Billie and Eddie McCurry of Cherryville; and expectant granddaughter, Isabella Grace McCurry.
Visitation: The family will receive friends following the service. Memorial Service: 2:00 PM Sunday, Oct. 19, 2014, in the chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory.
