Larry Dean Hoppes, 61, of 240 Ankle Road, Lawndale, died Monday, April 25,
2011 at Grace Hospital in Morganton.
Born May 30, 1949 in Catawba County, he was a son of the late Eddie Hoppes
and Ida Owens Hoppes. Larry served in the US Army during Vietnam.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward
Lee Hoppes and Jerry Hoppes and two sisters, Betty Sigmon and Dorothy
Beaver.
Survivors: include his wife, Sandra Short Hoppes; daughter, Cindy Hoppes of
Casar; two grandchildren, Brittany Michelle Smith and Anna Marie Bumgardner;
two brothers, Hubert Hoppes and Raymond Hoppes both of Maiden and sister,
Judy Whisnant of Maiden.
Visitation: 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM, Wednesday, Stamey Funeral Home, Fallston.
Funeral Service: 4:00 PM, Thursday, April 29, 2010 at House of Prayer,
Shelby.
Officiating: Rev. Clyde Price
Burial: House of Prayer Cemetery
