| Larry Dean McDaniel, 70, of Highway 221-A, Cliffside, died on Sunday, February 09, 2014 at SECU Hospice House of Rutherford County. A native of Rutherford County, he was born on January 10, 1944, a son of the late T.J. and Lillian Keeter McDaniel. He was retired from Cone Mills Corporation, Cliffside Plant, after 35 years of service. He was a member of Cliffside Baptist Church; he loved sports, the New York Yankee’s and loved gardening.
He is survived by his brothers, Gary McDaniel and wife Robin of Cliffside, Jeff McDaniel and wife Teresa of Mooresboro and Danny McDaniel and wife Brenda of Zebulon; one sister, Jane Keeter of Mount Holly; his nieces and nephews, Brett Keeter, Mitchell McDaniel, Stephen McDaniel, Brandie McDaniel, Stephanie Moore and Haley Maxwell; great nieces and nephews, Victoria Moore, Dylan Moore, Cody Maxwell, Laurel Brooks, Tess McDaniel and Colt Maxwell.
A Celebration of Larry’s Life will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, February 17, 2014 at Cliffside Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Neil Haynes officiating. Visitation will be held from 7:00pm-9:00pm on Sunday, February 16, 2014 at McKinney-Landreth & Carroll Funeral and Cremation Service.
