Larry Grady Brown

Blacksburg -- Larry Grady Brown, 77, of 1741 W Cherokee St, passed away on Wednesday, September 17th, 2025, at Mary Black Memorial Hospital.

Born in Blacksburg, he was the son of the late James Eli Brown and Mary Novella Harris Brown. Larry was a member of Love Springs Baptist Church. He was a dedicated businessman who owned and operated Brown's Body Shop and "Look" Used Cars. Larry had a gift for connecting with others and never met a stranger. He enjoyed playing guitar, entertaining friends, and sharing laughter and music. Above all, he cherished his family. Larry Brown will be remembered as the true embodiment of a simple, genuine man.

Surviving Mr. Brown are his daughter, Tina Wilson (Tommy); a brother, J.D. Brown; three sisters: Louise Byars, Linda Wilson, and Helen Martin; two grandchildren, Cade Wilson and Alec Richardson; and a special friend, Vicky Moss Richardson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Christy Michelle Brown, a brother, Ed Brown, and a sister, JoAnn Patterson.

The family will receive friends on Monday, September 22nd, 2025, from 3:00-4:00pm at Gordon Mortuary. A funeral service will follow at 4:00pm with Rev. Ron Culbertson officiating. Interment will be in Clingman Memorial Gardens.

The family will be at their respective homes.

The Blacksburg location is serving the Brown family.
