Mr. Larry Roger Hudson, 67, of 408 Moriah School Road, Casar, NC, passed away Sunday, November 21, 2010. Services were held at New Home United Methodist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery with Masonic Gravesite Rites.
Mr. Hudson was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey John Hudson and Mozelle Crotts Hudson; 1 son, Roger Hudson; 2 brothers, Hugh Hudson and Dan Hudson; and 1 sister, Coleen Bowman.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Thana Ledford Hudson; his step-mother, who he thought of as his mother, Zanie Hudson of Lawndale; 2 daughters, Kimberly Lytle and husband Ronnie of Lattimore, and Donna Melton and husband Keith of Casar; 3 grandchildren; 7 brothers, Dwight Hudson of Savannah, GA, Richard Hudson of Vale, Don Hudson of Morganton, Jerry Hudson of Vale, Harvey Hudson, Jr. and James Pruett, both of Casar, and Joe Hudson of Cherryville; and 8 sisters, Edith Wortman, Dorothy McCurry, Dianne Bradshaw, Della Ledford, and Brenda Green, all of Lawndale, Faye Willis of Earl, Nancy Luckadoo of Casar, and Geraldine Canipe of Vale.
