Laurette Wall Hamrick
 
Laurette Wall Hamrick, age 85, of Houston St., formerly of Waco; another precious angel entered those beautiful gates early on Monday, November 17, 2014.  She was born on January 5, 1929 in Rutherford County to the late Eldridge Herbert and Geneva Henson Wall.  Laurette was the most wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She was also a beloved aunt, sister, and friend.  Mrs. Hamrick was a nurse for over forty years, the last of those spend as an emergency room nurse at Lincoln Co. Hospital.  Her family was the most important thing in her life and she was an avid Braves fan.
 
 
 
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, W.A. Hamrick; her babies, Ronnie and Cathy; and her son Keith “Spanky” Hamrick and his wife, Kathy. 
 
 
 
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Carol and Norman Edwards, Gail and the late Buddy Brogdon, Lee Hamrick; her “daughter” niece, Vickie and Dennis Abernathy; her beloved grandchildren, Ali and Alan Beale, Rich and Jennifer Campbell, Jessica Hamrick, Dale and Jennifer Edwards, Crystal and Chris Reid, Angelia Brogdon, Kim and Mike Laudner, David Brogdon, Nishi Hamrick, and Preston Laverty; and her beloved great grandchildren, Morgan Edwards, Clayton and Aiden Beale, Riley and Chloe Campbell, triplets Joe, Beth, and Dave Brogdon, twins Stiles and Emma Kate Laudner, Nolan and Lauren Reid, and Malachi Hamrick. 
 
 
 
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Carpenter’s Funeral & Cremation Services with Dr. L.J. Barnes officiating.  Burial will follow at Capernaum Cemetery.  The family will receive on Wednesday from 2:00 to 2:45 prior to the service at the funeral home and at other times at the home of Rich and Jennifer Campbell in Dallas.
 
 
 
The family would like to express a deep appreciation to the staff of Gaston Hospice and all the love and care that was shown to Mrs. Hamrick during her stay.  They request that memorials be made to Robin Johnson Hospice House, 5005 Shepherds Way, Dallas, NC 28034.
