Lena Marie Scism Sigmon, 52, of 262 Moss St., died Dec. 13, 2012 at her residence. She was born on October 7, 1960 in Cleveland Co a daughter of Nell Shytle Scism, of Waco and the late C.L. Scism.
Marie was a graduate of Burns High School, formerly employed at Cleveland Regional Medical Center as a ward secretary. She was also a member of Gloryland Missionary Baptist Church, Kings Mountain and a loving Christian wife, mother, grandmother, sister and a friend to many.
In addition to her mother she is survived by her husband of 33 years Rev. Ricky Sigmon, three sons Ricky and Lance Sigmon both of Waco and Shawn Sigmon of Shelby, three sisters Gale Elmore and Don, Shelia Beam and Larry, and Madge Jones and Allen all of Waco, two brothers Dale Scism and Debra and Forest Scism and Vickie , both of Fallston, and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at Gloryland Missionary Baptist Church at 2 PM with Rev Fred Helms and Dr. Harold Fite officiating with burial in Capernaum Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday at Carpenter’s Funeral Home from 6-8 PM and other times at the home.
