Cherryville – Ms. Liddie Ware Baker, 95, of 1216 Requa Road passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at her residence.

Ms. Baker was born on September 26, 1917 in Cleveland County, NC a daughter of the late Robert E. Ware, Sr. and Essie Smith Ware.  She was retired from the Pentagon as a secretary after 37 years of service.  Ms. Baker was a member of First Baptist Church, Nora Dellinger Sunday School class and the Morrison – Williams Circle.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert E. “Bobby” Ware, Jr.; Eddie Ware and a sister Margaret Ware.

Survivors include her sister and caregiver, Evelyn W. Heavner, of the home and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Friday, November 2, 2012 from 2:00 until 2:45PM at First Baptist Church, Cherryville and at other times the family will be at the home.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 2, 2012 at 3:00PM at First Baptist Church, Cherryville with the Dr. Vince Hefner officiating.

Burial will be in Cherryville City Memorial Cemetery.
