Lilly Adell Wease Eaker
 Lilly Adell Wease Eaker, 86, of Lawndale,departed for her heavenly home on,
Thursday, August 8, 2013 at Peak Resources in Shelby.

Mrs. Eaker was born in Cleveland County on March 2, 1927 to the late Ezra
Gold Wease and Myrtle Mae Ledwell Wease.  

Mrs. Eaker was a longtime member of Lawndale Baptist Church where she served
in the choir and kitchen ministry.  After her retirement, Mrs. Eaker stayed
busy doing errands for people in need,  She was fondly referred to as the
"Lawndale Taxi" for all of the many trips she made, taking folks to doctor's
appointments, grocery shopping, etc.  She also blessed many with her great
cooking.

Until her health decline, she was known for her zest for life.  She was
voted "resident of the year" at Peak Resources and took part in many
activities.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Culver
Lee Eaker; son, Michael Eaker; five brothers; Ezra Wease, Tommy Wease,
Edward Wease, Howard Wease and Ben Wease; and three sisters, Lois Waters,
Mary Sue Champion, and Shirley Brown.

She is survived by two sons, Phillip Eaker and wife, Wanda and Terry Eaker
and wife, Paula all of Lawndale; daughter-in-law, Corrine Eaker of Mebane;
twelve grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; two great great
grandchildren; and special friend, Libby Martin of Shelby.

Visitation, One hour before the service on Sunday at Lawndale Baptist
Church, Lawndale. Condolences may be made online at

Celebration of Life Service, 3:00PM Sunday, at Lawndale Baptist Church,
Lawndale.

Officiating, Rev. Jim Kilby, Rev. Jack Waters.

Burial, Rose Hill Memorial Park, Fallston.
