Linda Clark Kimbrell, age 66, of Forest City, NC, died July 19, 2014 at the Hospice House of Rutherford County.
Born August 26, 1947 in Burke County, NC, she was a daughter of the late, Paul Clark and Bonnie Buff Elmore. She worked for Stonecutter Mill most of her life and was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Linda enjoyed sewing, quilting and growing flowers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Tony Swink.
Survivors include her husband of thirty-five years, Joe Kimbrell; daughter, Renee Cole of Duncan, SC; two sons, Randy Swink of Forest City and Roger Swink and wife, Shanna of Harris; five sisters, Dorothy Crane, Cathy Whisnant, Renee Burkhart, Jettie Van Dyke all of Morganton, NC and Debbie Chapmen of Tennessee; three brothers, Sanford Clark, Arthur Clark and Steve Clark all of Morganton. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with Reverend Bob Philbeck officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
