Mrs. Linda Dale Parker Benton, 65, of 111 Garver Street, Lawndale passed
away Friday, October 31, 2014 at home.
Born in Gaston County on March 30, 1949, she was a daughter of the late
Paul Abraham Parker and Laura Ellen Pennley Parker.
Mrs. Benton was formerly employed by Pharr Mills.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Minor
Revere Benton; daughter, Tabitha Joelean Benton; brothers, Charles Marvin
Parker, Paul Robert Parker and Roger Earl Parker; and sister, Elizabeth
Ellen Waters.
Mrs. Benton is survived by sons, Terry Lee Harward Jr. of Salisbury and
David Harward of Albemarle; daughters, Rebecca Hunt of Salisbury, Linda
Maxine Cauthen of Lawndale, and Jolie Oswalt of Florida; sister, Brenda Ann
Parker Franklin of Prosperity, SC; twelve grandchildren and twelve great
grandchildren.
The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the service at East
Kings Mountain Church of God.
Memorial service: Sunday 3:00 pm at East Kings Mountain Church of God.
