Linda Fowler Mayhew
 
Linda Fowler Mayhew, 64, of 526 Jess Hord Road, Cherryville, died Monday,
March 5, 2012 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center in Shelby.

Linda was born February 9, 1948 in Cleveland County.  She was an employee at
Tuscarora Yarns in Clover, South Carolina and had worked for over 45 years
in the textile industry.  She was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church in
Shelby.  Linda was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother.  She
will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.

Linda was preceded in death by her father, Charles Flay Fowler.

She is survived by her mother, Gladys Green Fowler of Shelby; the love of
her life, her husband, Donald Lee Mayhew, Sr., who she married on January
11, 1963; two sons, Tim Mayhew and wife, Annette of Lincolnton and Donnie
Mayhew and wife Shannon of Polkville; daughter, Lisa Mayhew Harrill and
husband, Frankie of Lattimore, grandchildren, Brandon Mayhew and Ashley
Hollingsworth of Cherryville, Shannon Williams and Lindsey Sigmon of
Lincolnton, B.J. Mayhew, Aaron Mayhew and Kari Mayhew of Waco, Corey Smith,
Storm Smith and Marina Smith of Polkville, Frankie Harrill and Seth Harrill
of Lattimore; four great-grandchildren, Bryson Sigmon, Jackson Mayhew,
Bailey Cline and Connor Williams; and a very special animal companion,
Sally.

Vistiation: 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday at Stamey Funeral Home, Fallston.

Funeral Service: 2:00 PM, Thursday at Buffalo Baptist Church, Shelby.  The
body will be placed in the church thirty mintues before the service.

Officiating: Rev. Max Turner

Burial: Rose Hill Memorial Park, Fallston
