Linda Hawkins Tignor, age 74, resident of Kings Mountain, NC went to be with her Lord on January 28, 2016 at Carolina's Healthcare System, Cleveland. She was born in Cleveland Co. NC to the late P.A. Hawkins and Nettie Pearson Hawkins. She was also preceded in death by her brother, JB Hawkins; and sisters, Ann Ruth Whiteside, Mildred Bumgarner, Etha Bumgardner, Betty Crawford, Peggy Davis and Helen Hawkins. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and attended Allen Memorial Baptist Church. She was a former employee of Clyde A. Short Co, Shelby, NC and retired from Sara Lee Intimates, Kings Mtn. NC. She was a wonderful and loving mother and grandmother who cherished her grandchildren and great grandchildren dearly.

Brother: Tommy Hawkins and wife Kay, Kings Mtn. NC

Sisters: Lois Hawkins Ellis and husband Don, Grover, NC

Myra Hawkins Hagans and husband Tom, Kings Mtn. NC

3 Grandchildren: T.J. Whitaker and wife Lindsay; TiAnna Whitaker, and Elijah Whitaker.

4 Great Grandchildren: Ethan, Kaydance, Alexis, and Levi Whitaker.

Numerous nieces and nephews.

4:00 P.M. Rev. Joe Riley, Rev. Timmy Whitaker, and Rev. Scott Hardin.

VISITATION: 2:00 - 3:30 P.M. Sunday, January 31, 2016 prior to the service at Harris Funeral Home, Kings Mountain, North Carolina and other times at 923 York Road, Kings Mountain, North Carolina.

INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, North Carolina
