Mrs. Linda Ivie Johnson, 62, of 3415 Katie Lane, Mooresboro, NC, passed away Sunday, July 11, 2010. Services were held at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Cleveland Memorial Park.
Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus Nathaniel Jr. and Nell Elizabeth Jones Ivie; and 1 sister, Betsy Tice.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Robert “Sonny” Johnson, Sr. of the home; 3 sons, Renn Long of Shelby, Robert Johnson, Jr. and wife Raquel of Forest City, and James Johnson and wife Lisa of Hawaii; 2 daughters, Kellie Long Adair and Gene Cash of Mooresboro, and Stacy Davis; 3 brothers, Butch Ivie and wife Suzanne of Shelby, Ron Ivie and wife Barbara of Lattimore, and Les Ivie and wife Sheila of Polkville; 10 grandchildren plus 1 special grandson; and 1 brother-in-law, Charles Tice of Winston-Salem.
