Linda Kay Jones Greene, age 69, died Thursday, December 1, 2016 at her home. Born in Cleveland County on June 13, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Walter Alvie and Mada Bell Philbeck Jones. Linda was a member of Kings Mountain Family Worship Center. Her life was a Christian example to her family and friends, and she was a powerful prayer warrior. Linda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, who cherished her family and prayed for them daily. In her spare time, Linda enjoyed reading and ice cream.

Linda is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Lenord Greene; two sons, Tracy Greene and wife Angela and Trinity Greene and wife Emily, all of Shelby; a daughter, Tiffany Brunette and husband Chris of Shelby; four sisters, Kathleen Hocker, Dot Grigg, Billie Baugham, and Lisa Champion; a brother, Jimmy Jones; six grandchildren, Ashlee, Bethany, Cady, Alaina, Olivia, and Mason; four great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Peyton, Trace, and Grayson; and beloved nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be held on Monday, December 5, 2016 at 4:00 pm at Kings Mountain Family Worship Center with Pastor Roger Woodard officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. A private burial was held at Patterson Springs Baptist Church.
