Lions Club Service Project...
The Lincolnton Lions Club will be sponsoring a Patriotic Humanitarian Fund Raiser and Service Project on  on Saturday, June 30th from 7:00 a.m. until in the parking lot of the Super Wal-mart, 2505 Lincolnton Highway, Cherryville.
In addition to distributing Lions Club literature, selling brooms, kazoos, patriotic and humorous badges, the Lions will be asking for monetary contributions for small American Flags.  Cost per Lions Club brooms are $4.00 wisk broom; $4.00 children’s camping hearth broom; $4 children’s mop; $8.00 synthetic soft sweep broom; $9.00 corn-style household broom; $11.00 corn-style industrial/patio broom; and $15.00 industrial push broom. Cost per Lions Club kazoos, patriotic or humorous badges are $1.00. Proceeds from the Lions Club brooms, kazoos, badges, and American Flags will provide services to the blind/visually impaired, purchase eyeglasses and eye examinations for the needy, and support other Lions Club charities.
Donate and recycle used eyeglasses an cell phones in Lions Club depository boxes on June 30th in Cherryville.
Do you have any unwanted prescription eyeglasses, sunglasses, or cell phones at home or work? Don’t know what to do with them. The Lincolnton Lions Club will have collecting recyclable eyeglasses and cell phones on Saturday, June 30 ,2012 in Super Wal-Mart Parking lot, 2505 Lincolnton Highway, Cherryville from 7:00 a.m. until. Due to state and federal public health laws, all used eyeglasses are shipped overseas. Before donating and recycling your cell phone in a Lions Club box, please erase all personal information.
