Lloyd Eugene "Gene" Sain, 76, of Cat Square Road, Vale, passed away
Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.

Born in Cleveland County on February 19, 1942, he was a son of the late
Lloyd Junius Sain and Eleze Hoyle Sain. He worked in industrial maintenance
for thirty years before becoming a long haul truck driver until he retired.
Gene also attended the Seventh Day Church of God Fellowship, China Grove.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a son, Donnie Sain.

He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Dianne Cook Sain; two sons, Tim
Sain of Vale and Jeff Sain of Toluca; daughter, Lisa Sain of Vale; sister
Earlene Sain Heafner and husband Glen of Vale; five grandchildren, Dakota
Johnson, Logan Sain, Jordan Sain, Harleigh Meeks, and Makayla Meeks; and
five great grandchildren, Hayden Johnson, Nathan Sain, Alexis Sain, Tyler
Conant and Cuyler Sain.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM at Reeps
Grove United Methodist Church, Vale.

The funeral service will be held at 4:00pm, on Sunday at Reeps Grove United
Methodist Church with Mr. Kevin Pettigrew officiating. The burial will
follow in the church cemetery.
