Lois Frye Moore, age 78, formerly of Ellenboro, NC, died Thursday, December 13, 2012, in Concord, NC. Lois was born on February 26, 1934 in Blacksburg, SC, the youngest daughter of the late Jesse Lee Frye and Valoree Sarratt Frye. She loved scrapbooking, arts and crafts, gardening, and cooking for all of her family; especially for her grandchildren. Lois’s main priority in life was her family and she encouraged and worked hard to provide all of her six children with a college education. She was extremely proud of the accomplishments of her children and grandchildren, and will forever be known as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Ernest Alton Moore, four sisters, Phyrnia Frye Moore, Margie Frye Price, Viola Frye Humphries, Carrie Frye Simons, and 2 brothers, Samuel Russel Frye, and Joe Clayton Frye. Survivors include three daughters, Debra Moore McGee and husband, Ralph, of Concord, NC, Cathy Moore Boshamer of Gastonia, NC and Jenny Moore Morgan and husband, Rusty, of Kannapolis, NC; three sons, Tim Moore and wife, Jennifer, of Concord, NC, David Moore and wife, Wendy, of Raleigh, NC and Keith Moore and wife, Paige, of Horse Shoe, NC. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, Jeremy McGee, Sara Boshamer Grice and husband, Jonathan, Zach Boshamer, Emily Moore, Meridith Moore, Morgan Moore, Haley Moore, Olivia Moore, Nicholas Moore and Matt Morgan.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at the A.C. McKinney Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Joey Cantrell officiating. Burial will follow at Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00pm - 2:00pm at the funeral home
