Lois Wilson Flynn
 
  Lois Wilson Flynn, age 86, of Forest City, died Saturday, August 30, 2014 at the Forest City Health and Rehabilitation Center.
 
      Born September 9, 1927 in Rutherford County, she was a daughter of the late Archie “Jack” Wilson and Willie Jeannette Harrill Wilson.  She was a graduate of Tri-High School, class of 1944 and a faithful member of Sandy Mush Baptist Church. She served on the Hospitality Committee at the church and enjoyed her Sunday School Class. She served as the local Postmaster for the Avondale Post Office and the Henrietta Post Office for many years. Lois also enjoyed gardening with her husband, B. H. Flynn and people would drive from miles around to buy their homegrown tomatoes.  She was an avid reader and also loved flower gardening.
 
      In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Allen, Mildred Davis and by a brother, Darrell Wilson.
 
      Survivors include her husband of sixty-six years, Brell Harrison Flynn; two daughters, Linda Flynn of Forest City and Denice Padgett and husband, Keith of Mooresboro; two grandsons, Jason Padgett of Mooresboro, Daniel Padgett of Matthews, NC and great-grandson, Braxton Padgett of Mooresboro.
 
      Funeral services were conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 1, 2014 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Bobby Gettys officiating.  Interment followed in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery.  The family received friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
 
     Harrelson Funeral and Cremation Services is serving the family.
