Mr. Lonnie Dale Horton age 46, of Green Creek North Carolina, passed away unexpectedly on December 29, 2017.

Born on April 19, 1971 in Tryon, North Carolina, he was the son of Delmar Lonnie Horton (Deborah) and Cherie Lynn Rogers who were both of Rutherford County.

Lonnie was employed at S&N Communications as a supervisor. He was previously employed for 25 years at Communication Services Incorporated, also as a supervisor.

Lonnie is survived by his wife of 23 years, Jean Horton. He is also survived by his four children, Cassie Smith, Zack Smith, Paige Horton, Christopher Dale Horton and his two grandchildren, Oliver See and Eli See. Also his two siblings Nicki Dill (Keith) and Autumn Horton and many family members including numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends Thursday January 4, 2017 from 1 to 2PM at Lake Lure Baptist Church, 6837 US 64/74A Highway, Lake Lure, with the memorial service at 2PM with Pastor Anton Roos officiating.
