| Ms. Lorene Amanda Sellers, 102, of 111 Harrilson Rd., formerly of Mary’s Grove Church Rd., passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at Carolina Care Center of Cherryville.
Ms. Sellers was born on January 14, 1909 in Cleveland County a daughter of the late Thomas F. Sellers and Cora Black Sellers. Ms. Sellers spent 95 years in the same house all her siblings were born in. Lorene was a care giver to both her parents and hers sister’s children, as they were born. Her farming background was always present in her gardening, preserving, and flowers. No one ever possessed a more humble, sweet spirit which will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by eleven nieces and ten nephews along with a host of great nieces and nephews.
Lorene was preceded in death by her brothers; Earnest, Worth, Edgar, Clyde, Louie and Webb; and her sisters, Mary Sellers, Bryte Carroll, Gladys Stroup, Dona Dellinger and Geneva Sellers.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at 11:00a.m. at Shady Grove Baptist Church, Cherryville. The body will be placed in the church thirty minutes prior to the service.
Visitation will be in the Family Life Center following the service.
Burial will be at Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
