Lorene Mullinax Ledford, 86, of Wood Road, Mooresboro, died on Sunday, June 02, 2013 at SECU Hospice House of Rutherford County. A native of Cherokee County, SC, she was born on May 12, 1927, a daughter of the late R.G. and Martha Ann Mullinax. She was a homemaker and member of Prospect Baptist Church. She loved to cook and garden.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Voyd Lee Ledford. She is survived by one son, Danny Lee Ledford and wife Donna of Mooresboro; two daughters, Linda Ledford Powell and husband Ronnie of Mooresboro and Patricia Ledford Barnes and husband Ray of Mooresboro; her grandchildren, Sharla Migala and husband David, Andy Ledford, Steve Ledford, Ivey Taylor and husband Kenny, Jeff Powell, Sheena Davis and husband Aaron, Shannon Green and fiancé Chris Sims; seven great grandchildren; special caregiver, Deanna Powell.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00pm on Wednesday, June 05, 2013 with the Rev. Keith Dixon, Rev. Ernie Cole, and Kenny Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 7:00pm-9:00pm on Tuesday, June 04, 2013 at McKinney-Landreth & Carroll Funeral and Cremation Service.
