Blacksburg - Lorenia Hord Mathews, 70, passed away on Saturday, November 29, 2025.

Born in Charlotte, NC, she was the daughter of the late Roland Dearcy Hord and Gracie Jordan Hord Harper.

Mrs. Mathews is survived by her sons, Joshua Mathews, David Mathews; her daughter, Danielle Denise Hord; her grandchildren, Samantha Macias (Victor), Christofor Dwayne Tylor Neelands, and Jacobe Rowe; and her great-grandchild, Timothy Joshua Issac Macias. She formerly worked in Textiles and was a member of New Harvest Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her son, Timothy Brian Mathews, and her sister, Sheila Olivia Hord Adair.
