Lorine T. Wellman, 64, of 9105 Old NC 18 in Lawndale passed away on Monday, December 23, 2013, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

She was born on August 31, 1949, in Cleveland County, to the late Ada Towery. She was retired from Southwood Furniture and attended Mulls Chapel Baptist Church.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by one brother, Ray Towery and one sister, Betty Williams.

Survivors include her husband of forty six years, Johnny Paul Wellman; two sons, Johnny Mark Wellman and wife Tammy of Lawndale and Paul Wellman of Lawndale, and three sisters, Rachel Murray of Valdese, Pat Dennie of Hildebran, and Colleen Cook of Lawndale.

Visitation: The family will receive friends from 6:00PM until 8:00PM Thursday at Stamey Funeral Home in Fallston.

Funeral Service:  2:00PM Friday at Mulls Chapel Baptist Church. The body will be placed in the church thirty minutes prior to the service.
