Mrs. Lougene Arrendale Carrigan, 79, passed away on Friday, November 13, 2015 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.

Mrs. Carrigan was born on September 28, 1936 in Clayton County, GA a daughter of the late B.F. Arrendale and Kitty McKinney Arrendale. She was retired from the Copal Grill in Charlotte and was a member of First Baptist Church of Cherryville.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Everette Lee Carrigan; two children, Craig Steven Carrigan and Linda Lou Carrigan; four brothers and one sister.

Survivors include a son, Ronald Lee Carrigan and wife Carla of Winston Salem; three daughters, Pamela Carrigan Hood of Gastonia; Deborah Hope and Anita Helms both of Cherryville; five grandchildren, Shelly Denise Hood, Ashly Black, Joshua Lingerfelt, Michael McElwaine, Casey McElwaine and one great grandchild, Currie McElwaine.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of the Brian Center in Lincolnton for the love and care they provided for Mrs. Carrigan.

A Private Graveside service will be held.

Burial will be in City Memorial Cemetery in Cherryville.
