| Blacksburg -- Louise Jackson Martin, 64, of 345 White Farm Road, passed away Wednesday, July 25th, 2012, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Born in Cowpens, Mrs. Martin was the wife of Jimmy Martin of the home and the daughter of the late Shirley Jackson Loftis. She worked as a RN and retired from Kings Mountain Hospital, she had previously worked at Mary Black Hospital and White Oak Manor. Mrs. Martin was a member of Christ The King Church.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Martin is survived by a son, John Crawford Martin ll and wife, Lorrie, of Blacksburg; two daughters, Anita Celeste Spencer and husband, Ed, of Blacksburg and Michelle Martin Lambert and husband, Mark, of Gaffney; two brothers, Reggie Jackson of Chesnee and Jimmy Jackson of Cowpens; two sisters, Patricia Lanier and Cathy Bolin, both of Gaffney; and on grandchild raised in the home, Zachary McKenzie Martin. She also has 9 other grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her mother; a daughter, Leslie Janine Martin; and a brother, Leon Jackson.
The family will receive friends Sunday, July 29, 2012, at Gordon Mortuary from 6:00 until 8:00PM. Funeral services for Mrs. Martin will be held Monday, July 30, at 4:30PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gaffney, SC with Father Michael officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Dale Childress, Wesley Jackson, David Martin II, Kevin Martin, Michael Martin, and Shane Childers will serve as pallbearers.
The family will be at the residence.
