Mrs. Lourene Taylor Houser, 102, of 6946 Lackey Rd., Vale, NC, passed away Saturday, June 26, 2010. Services were held at Hull’s Grover Baptist Church, Vale, NC. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Houser was preceded in death by her first husband, Charlie Cleatus Taylor; her second husband, J.D. Houser; her parents, William Lee Houser and Ida Catherine Hardester Houser; 1 son, Bobby Taylor; 1 daughter, Sue Taylor Cline; 1 grandson; 2 brothers, William C. Houser and John E. Houser; and 5 sisters, Lula Beam, Maude Sain, Eunice Sain, Edna Canipe and Margaret Newton.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Rachel Heavner and Kathy Loving and husband Claude, all of Vale, NC; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; and 3 sisters, Madge King, Pauline Beam, both of Vale, and Ruth Hoover of Goldsboro.
