Loyd Lee Clark, age 86, died Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Hospice Wendover. Born in Cleveland County on January 27, 1930 he was the son of the late Hal Claude and Mary Cronan Clark. Loyd was a member of Landmark Baptist Church. Loyd served in the U. S. Army and was the retired owner of Clark Paint and Body Shop. He loved to garden and he enjoyed giving away his crops to friends and family. In addition to his parents, Loyd is preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.

Loyd is survived by his wife of 52 years, Irene Glenn Clark; a sister, Charlene Weaver of Shelby; and a host of other loving friends and family.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at 11:30 pm at Landmark Baptist Church with Rev. Allen Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Cleveland Memorial Park with Military Honors. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 11:30 am in the sanctuary of the church before the service and other times at the home of Charlene Weaver, 615 West Zion Church Road, Shelby, NC.
