Lucy Cooke White, 84, of 208 Wes Cook Rd., Casar, passed away Monday
December 28, 2015 at Hospice at Wendover.

Born March 9, 1931 in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late Frank
Cooke and Zennie Walker Cooke. She was retired from Hudson Hosiery, Whites
Restaurant and R&L Mobile Home Service and was a lifetime member of St. Paul
Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband,
Charles Ralph White; an infant brother and two sisters, Mattie Lee Glover
and Bertha Walker Hoyle.

Survivors include one daughter & son-in-law, Deborah W. & Michael Powell of
Lawndale; three grandchildren, Christopher Powell, Gary Powell and wife
Susan and Angela Powell Auten and husband Jace; four great grandchildren,
Kaitlyn Powell, Joshua Powell, Alex Auten and Natalie Auten; and numerous
nieces and nephews.

The visitation will be Thursday from 2:00PM until 3:00PM at St. Paul Baptist
Church. At other times, the family will be at the home of Deborah Powell 224
Oak Grove Clover Hill Church Rd. Lawndale, NC 28090.

The funeral service will be Thursday 3:00PM at St. Paul Baptist Church with
Revs. Keith Fulbright, R.A. Brackett and Mr. Gary Powell officiating.

Burial will follow in St. Paul Baptist Church Cemetery.
