MOORESBORO - Lucy Horne, 91, of Lake Houser Road, Mooresboro, died on Monday, March 23, 2015 at Hospice of Cleveland County at Wendover. A native of Cleveland County, she was born on July 13, 1923, a daughter of the late Rex Roland McCraw and Elsie McCraw. She was a homemaker and member of Harriett Memorial Freewill Baptist Church. She loved to work word find puzzles, color and sit on her porch and watch the birds.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Horne; one son, Joel McCraw; her siblings, Lloyd McCraw, Hoyle McCraw, J.M. McCraw, Howard McCraw, and Estelle McCraw. She is survived by her sons, Kenneth McCraw and wife Barbara of Mooresboro, Bryan McCraw and wife Kathy of Shelby and Ronald McCraw and wife Katherine of Shelby; her daughter, Linda Houser and husband Lance of Mooresboro; 13 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at The A.C. McKinney Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Billy Poe Jones and Rev. Robert Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Cleveland Memorial Park. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
