SHELBY - Lucy Mae Ramsey Poole Luckadoo, 73, of East Sanders Road, Shelby, died on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Peak Resources of Shelby. A native of Cleveland County, shewas born on April 19, 1939, a daughter of the late Thomas Grady Ramsey and Mammie Mae Ledford Ramsey. She reitred from the Textile Industry and was a Charter Member of Souls Harbor Tabernacle of Mooresboro.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Dean Ramsey and Norman Ramsey. She is survived by her husband, Glenn Luckadoo; two sons, Charles Poole and wife Joyce of Kings Mountain, Fred Poole and friend Melody Shaffer of Mooresboro; one daughter, Cheryl Wright and husband Donnie of Shelby; one brother, Joe Ramsey of Drexel; one sister, Portia Newton of Forest City; eight grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, January 02, 2013 at Souls Harbor Tabernacle with the Rev. James Chambers and Rev. James Eason officiating. Burial will follow at Souls Harbor Tabernacle Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00pm-8:00pm on Tuesday, January 01, 2013 at McKinney-Landreth & Carroll Funeral Home.
