Lucy Margaret Jenkins, 71, of 1101 N. Morgan Street, Shelby, passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at Peak Resources in Shelby.
Born September 3, 1942 in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late John William Jenkins and Lula Mae Smith Jenkins. She was retired from Royster Turkey Farm and was a member of Casar Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, John William Jenkins, Gene Roscoe Jenkins and Robert Jenkins; and two sisters, Daisy Blanton and Jeanette Wilkinson.
Survivors include a son, Bobby Jenkins of Polkville; a daughter, Christine Hope and husband, Kenny of Casar; a brother, Boyce Clayton Jenkins of Polkville; six sisters, Evelyn Scarborough and Diane Ward both of Polkville, Peggy Butler of Shelby; Josephine Ingram and Pauline Hudson both of Casar and Frances Bumgardner of Hickory; and five grandchildren, Carson, Mitchell, D.J., Brooke and Courtney.
Visitation: 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Friday at Corinth Baptist Church, Casar
Funeral Service: 12:00 PM, Friday at Corinth Baptist Church, Casar
Officiating: Revs. Alan Sailors and Robert Goins
Burial: Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery, Casar
