Mrs. Lura Kendrick Hamrick, 87, of 1250 Maple Springs Church Road, Shelby, NC, passed away Saturday, May 29, 2010. Graveside Services was held in Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Hamrick was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Everette Hamrick; her parents, Clem and Cora Kendrick; 1 brother, Fred Kendrick of Shelby, NC; and 1 sister, Ada Humphries of Kannapolis, NC.

She is survived by 2 sons, William E. Hamrick and wife Jean, and Richard E. Hamrick and wife Vanda, all of Shelby; 5 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
