Luther Grady Herron, 85, of Kings Mountain, NC, died January 22, 2016, in Kings Mountain, NC. Born in Bryson City, NC, he was the husband of the late Irene Seagraves Herron and the son of the late Fred and Annie Mae Nations Herron.
He is survived by his son, Bobby Herron(Starr) of Freeland, Md.; his daughter, Lynda Batchler(Clarence) of Blacksburg, SC; five grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; two brothers - Charly Herron(Vivian) of Kings Mountain, NC, and Curtis Herron(Judy) of Grover, NC; three sisters - JoAnn Ellis and Mary Lee Camp of Klmath, OR, and Annette Costner(Jr.) of Kings Mountain, NC; brother-in-law - Jack Stuart of Kings Mountain, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one brother - Harley Herron and two sisters - Evelyn Spencer and Eloise Stuart.
Private services will be held.
